Privacy Policy
Privacy, plainly.
What this website collects, why, and who else handles it. The short version: the contact form sends us an email, Cloudflare delivers the site and gives us cookieless, aggregate visit statistics, and there are no ad or social trackers.
- 01
Who we are
Mycellium Lab is an independent laboratory operated by Cesar Augusto in Florida, USA. This policy covers the public website at mycelliumlab.com and www.mycelliumlab.com. Questions about it can be sent to contact@mycelliumlab.com.
Some product areas on this site have their own notices. The Manager product describes its handling of restaurant data at /manager/privacy.
- 02
Information you send us
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and your message. When you submit it, the site sends those details to our inbox as an email through Cloudflare Email Routing. The website does not keep a separate database of form submissions.
The form also contains a hidden field that people do not see. It exists only to filter automated spam. If you email contact@mycelliumlab.com directly, we receive whatever you choose to include in that email.
- 03
Information collected when you visit
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. Your browser may also send network error reports to Cloudflare when a page fails to load.
We do not use advertising or social media tracking tools on this site, and we do not build visitor profiles. Fonts and images on the public pages are served from our own domain.
- 04
Site analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see, in aggregate, how the site is used and how fast pages load. Cloudflare adds a small script to each page, loaded from
static.cloudflareinsights.com, that sends page load timing measurements back to this site's Cloudflare endpoint. In the dashboard we see totals such as page views and visits, broken down by page path, referring site, country, device type, browser, and operating system. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to collect these metrics, does not fingerprint individuals by IP address or browser details, does not collect or use visitors' personal data, and does not record query strings. We cannot use it to identify you or follow you across other sites.
Content blockers often block this script; the site works the same without it.
- 05
Cookies and browser storage
Public pages set no cookies of our own. Signing in to the private Manager area sets one strictly necessary session cookie, and the Manager demo keeps your example Approve and Dismiss choices in this browser tab only. Details are in our Site and Cookie Policy.
- 06
Booking a call
If you book a call through our scheduling tool (Calendly), Calendly collects the details you enter, such as your name, email address, and chosen time, and shares them with us so we can hold the call. Calendly handles that information under its own privacy policy.
- 07
How we use information
We use what you send us to read and reply to your message, to discuss the work you asked about, and to keep a record of that conversation. We use technical request data only to operate and secure the site. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
- 08
Who receives it
We share information only with the services that make the site work:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, security, aggregate site analytics, and delivery of contact form emails.
- Our email provider, which hosts the inbox where your messages arrive.
- Calendly, when you choose to book a call through it.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the site, our rights, or the safety of others.
- 09
How long we keep it
Messages stay in our inbox for as long as they are useful for the conversation, any work that follows, and our business records. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time, unless we need to keep them to meet a legal obligation.
- 10
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by writing to contact@mycelliumlab.com. We will answer within a reasonable time. You can also use the site without sending us any information.
- 11
Security and location
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive, but no website or email system is completely secure. Cloudflare runs a global network, so request data may be processed outside your state or country, including in the United States.
- 12
Children
This site is meant for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
- 13
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. See also our Site and Cookie Policy and Terms of Use.
